He has held various marketing and communication roles with companies including the Victorian Department of Justice, Brisbane Grammar School, RMIT University and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has also worked with organisations including the Brisbane River Festival, Royal Flying Doctors Service and numerous arts organisations.
Jack is a former Victorian President of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) and is a Fellow of the PRIA.
He has a Bachelor of Business from QUT with majors in marketing and public relations.
Christopher Shields is a global marketing strategist in a diverse range of industries. He has spent more than 15 years in senior marketing roles in New Zealand, Australia & throughout Asia. He has delivered many creative integrated advertising, digital and social media campaigns for a range of different brands and customer segments.
In addition, he has been responsible for marketing two recent startups in two very different countries (New Zealand and Sri Lanka); in two diverse industries (FMCG and hospitality). Both startups have been recognised as leaders in social media, brand development and digital advertising. Christopher has a passion for creating & executing strategic growth strategies that have tangible & measurable benefits. He is a great believer in putting customers first, so that customers become advocates through social media dialogue and engagement. He argues that this can happen with a combination of customer segmentation, the use of data and a solid understanding of the enormous opportunity that is available to individuals, businesses and brands through social media. He is currently working with individuals and businesses to help amplify their social media efforts and achieve their strategic goals.

Rosie is a communication professional with a background in the healthcare industry. After spending a decade working as a Registered Nurse, learning how to communicate under pressure, she made the move into the communications industry. Nowadays, having swapped the fast-paced wards and ER for the buzzing world of professional communications, Rosie is using her transferrable skills to help organisations and individuals share their stories online and in the real world. While she’s always been a communicator at heart (a storyteller, an influencer and a creative thinker), it was nursing that gave her the grounding and patience to work in the exciting communication sector.
Helen Steel has more than 18 years international business development experience including strategic planning, client and stakeholder relationship management, investment promotion, networking and corporate fundraising for organisations in Australia, the USA and Japan.
She was formerly executive director of the American Australian Association’s Boston branch, responsible for expanding the membership base and fostering relations between the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Upon returning to Australia, Helen was appointed the Manager of the City of Melbourne’s Office of Knowledge Capital, establishing a strong network of key government and higher education professionals.
Her extensive knowledge of Melbourne and access to senior government officials, higher education and industry leaders assist in the growth and sustainability of many organisations.

Danielle Johnston carefully crafts clever content capturing the attention of our clients, colleagues and collaborators. She also provides creative and considered communication counsel for a number of clients and campaigns and is the c word’s coolest problem-solver.
Prior to joining the c word, Danielle was the general manager of a not-for-profit sustainability consultancy in Melbourne following five years as business director at the Committee for Melbourne where she managed the Climate Change Taskforce, a leadership program for top performers, and internal and external communications.. Danielle has also worked in publishing, human resources and marketing, in London and San Francisco.
She has a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from RMIT and a Graduate Certificate of Business (Marketing) from Swinburne.
Christine is a super efficient and versatile go-to woman. She has worked across a variety of fields including politics, fashion, media, and education. This wealth of expertise from an assortment of industries provides a unique insight and creative solutions for our clients and their campaigns.
Patrick does the hard yards for the c word researching hot topics for client campaigns, managing evaluations and reporting, and preparing training programs. He has a Bachelor of Business with majors in marketing, human resource management and information systems as well as a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. Patrick is also passionate about training and business mentoring and is a qualified vocational education trainer and assessor and a fulltime secondary school teacher.
