Jack Walden / Chief Executive Officer

Jack is an ideas man with a capacity to translate the big picture into manageable steps that deliver high-impact results. Respected for developing and engaging with various thought-leadership communities, his ability to strategically and creatively forge networks flows from his record of cross-sector collaboration. Jack has established himself as a social impact and shared value communicator, working with leading Australian and international collaborators.

Known for creating and driving strategies and for optimising outcomes, Jack takes a whole-of-organisation approach to project management and problem-solving. Having worked with corporate, public sector and non-profit organisations, he brings considerable experience to connecting communication strategy to broader organisational priorities and goals.

With expertise across a range of marketing- and communication-related disciplines, Jack’s strength in communication and stakeholder strategy is matched by a capacity to develop pan-channel content – including digital collateral and compelling and rich narratives – and productive engagement agendas.

A former State President of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), Jack also served on the PRIA National Council, and was appointed a Fellow of the PRIA in 2014. He’s a former Industry Advisory Committee Chair for RMIT University’s School of Media & Communication and received a Bachelor of Business from QUT.

Philippa Brear / Counsel

Philippa believes that good strategy is informed strategy, and her advice references real-world, commercial drivers as well as relevant, agile analysis. In bringing strategy to life, she looks to client values, culture and context, producing meaningful, practicable communication advice that achieves client objectives. Her attention-to-detail and collaborative approach underpin the design and delivery of high-quality collateral, content and engagement programs.

With a track record that includes advising listed companies and SMEs, and public sector and non-profit organisations in Australia and in the United Kingdom, Philippa has worked in greenfield sites building communication programs from the ground-up. She was among the early communicators to specialise in legal services.

Philippa was Director of RMIT University’s Public Relations and Advertising degrees, designing programs and teaching in Australia, South East Asia and India. As a leader in work-integrated learning, she grew industry partnerships and graduate pathways.

A Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, Philippa is also a Board Member of international development NGO Assisi Aid Projects.

Christopher Shields / Creative

Christopher Shields has spent more than 15 years in senior marketing roles in New Zealand, Australia and throughout Asia. He has delivered many creative integrated advertising, digital and social media campaigns for a range of different brands and customer segments.

In addition, he has been responsible for marketing two recent startups in two very different countries – New Zealand and Sri Lanka- and in two diverse industries – FMCG and hospitality. Both startups have been recognised as leaders in social media, brand development and digital advertising.

Christopher has a passion for creating and executing strategic growth strategies that have tangible and measurable benefits. He is a great believer in putting customers first, so they become advocates through social media dialogue and engagement. He has demonstrated this can happen with a combination of customer segmentation, the use of data, and a solid understanding of the enormous opportunities available to individuals, businesses and brands through social media.
