Jack Walden / Chief Executive Officer

Jack is an ideas man, who translates the big picture into simple steps that deliver high-impact results. Respected for his ability to develop thriving networks and uncover the latest thinking, Jack has worked across a range of marketing and communication disciplines for corporate, public sector and non-profit organisations.

Taking a whole-of-organisation approach to communication and problem-solving, Jack brings considerable experience to creating and driving powerful strategies and developing compelling pan-channel narratives. Jack’s distinct ability to forge mainstream and novel – but always effective – communities flows from his track record of cross-sector collaboration.

Jack has also established himself as leader in communicating social impact and shared value, working with leading Australian and international collaborators.

A former Victorian President of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), Jack was appointed a Fellow of the PRIA in 2014. He has a Bachelor of Business from QUT with majors in marketing and public relations.

Philippa Brear / Counsel

To Philippa good communication strategy is informed strategy, and her advice balances real-world and commercial drivers with the need for considered, relevant analysis. In taking an agile approach to research – with tools ranging from formal qualitative methods to situational analyses to digital scanning – Philippa prioritises meaningful and pragmatic approaches to communication problem-solving that deliver client objectives.

With expertise that fuses track records in industry and as a tertiary educator, Philippa has worked with private, public and non-profit organisations in Australia and the United Kingdom, including in greenfield sites where she built communication management systems and programs from the ground-up. She was among the early professional communicators to focus on legal services in Australia and in the United Kingdom.

Translating industry experience to tertiary education, Philippa was Director of RMIT University’s Public Relations and Advertising degrees. As a leader in work-integrated learning, she grew industry partnerships and pathways for graduates as future industry leaders. In addition to RMIT involvements in Australia and Vietnam, Philippa has lectured in Singapore and Thailand, and has undertaken research and led internship study tours in India.

Philippa is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a Board Member of Assisi Aid Projects.

Christopher Shields / Creative

Christopher Shields has spent more than 15 years in senior marketing roles in New Zealand, Australia and throughout Asia. He has delivered many creative integrated advertising, digital and social media campaigns for a range of different brands and customer segments.

In addition, he has been responsible for marketing two recent startups in two very different countries – New Zealand and Sri Lanka- and in two diverse industries – FMCG and hospitality. Both startups have been recognised as leaders in social media, brand development and digital advertising.

Christopher has a passion for creating and executing strategic growth strategies that have tangible and measurable benefits. He is a great believer in putting customers first, so they become advocates through social media dialogue and engagement. He has demonstrated this can happen with a combination of customer segmentation, the use of data, and a solid understanding of the enormous opportunities available to individuals, businesses and brands through social media.
